What in deed are our representatives waiting for....but you have to realize the entire political setup here in Texas is and has been corrupt ever since Dolph Briscoe became governor, followed by Clements. I wish you people would pay attention to us little bloggers. If yoiu had you would find out that ever since 1999, we have stated that Texas had been used as a test bed to find out whether or not the neocon establishment could capture the state and eventually the whole fucking nation. Well DCCC folks they've all but accomplished their mission. If something radical and I mean radical doesn't appear on scene like right now, we believe that you can just mark the nation off the charts for 2006-08; probably permanently that is unless one of the nations like China bush got us hocked up to our eyeballs doesn't demand payment in full instantly. Suck on that for a while. TP

Subject: Tell TX Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money. Date: 04 Oct 2005 12:53:55 PDT
Dear Tom and Mary,
Congressional Republicans in Texas took $201,127 from Tom DeLay. Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
Tom DeLay is now facing two indictments.
It's been six days since Tom DeLay was first indicted - yesterday he was indicted on two more counts.
Only three Republican Members of Congress have returned his tainted money.
What are your Texas House Republicans waiting for?
Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
Former Republican Majority Leader Tom DeLay, who has given thousands of dollars in campaign contributions to Texas Republicans, was indicted last week on a felony charge of criminal conspiracy, followed by indictments for money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering on Monday. As a result, Congressman DeLay was forced to step down from his leadership position and currently faces criminal charges in a Texas court.
The first step towards defeating DeLay is dismantling the money machine that has kept him afloat; to isolate him from the rubberstamps he's funneled his tainted money to for so long.
Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
Tom DeLay's indictments were related to only one part of a system of pay-to-play politics and lobbyist-driven legislating that he put in place. Unfortunately, Texas House Republicans have supported and benefited from this same culture, which puts the special interests first at the expense of middle class families and our country. Until Democrats dismantle that system of corruption and make the U.S. House ... the People's House once again, Congress will not address the challenges facing hard working families. Each Texas Republican member of Congress has benefited from the Tom DeLay money machine; they all should answer whether or not they will continue to benefit from his dirty donations to their campaign funds.
Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
DeLay's dirty money was earned through the systematic betrayal of the American people. It is the result of a pay-for-play agenda where hard-earned tax dollars are funneled to Republican supporters like the oil and gas industries. Texas families deserve to know why it is that Texas Republicans refuse to return the tainted money from indicted Congressman Tom DeLay.
Truth be told, there's virtually no Republican in the House who can claim to have put their local communities above Tom DeLay - every one of them has been happy to bask in the power and luxury that came with being a cog in the DeLay, Inc. influence-peddling machine. Out of 231 Republicans in the House, a staggering 218 have taken DeLay's money. Even some of the newly recruited Republican candidates have already bought into the DeLay machine by taking his campaign contributions. So there's only one way for them to show that things have changed in any way whatsoever:
Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
The least they can do is run their 2006 campaigns without continuing to capitalize on the culture of corruption DeLay has cultivated.
Tom DeLay's indictments are just the latest in a growing laundry list of scandals. DeLay was admonished a record three times by the House Ethics Committee. In addition to these ethics admonishments, DeLay's friends and close associates have been indicted, even arrested. One associate, super-lobbyist Jack Abramoff was recently indicted, arrested and later released on bail, and just this month, a political action committee (TRMPAC) associated with DeLay, was indicted for illegally accepting corporate contributions.
The American people deserve better than this culture of corruption. There are real problems that need solutions. Help the DCCC change the leadership in Washington.
Will the Texas Republican Congressional Delegation Stand by Their Man, or Stand by the American People?
Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
Sincerely,
John Lapp Executive Director, DCCC
P.S. The White House, the NRCC, and Republican Leadership have all shown that they will stand by DeLay and his money machine no matter what - he's their kind of guy. Americans will have to decide if he's their kind of guy too.
Tell Texas Republicans to Return DeLay's Dirty Money.
