The Alzium Alternative         Extensive tests have shown that in certain cases, even a 1% solution caused a 100% kill against cancer cells in vitro.     This communication contains general information about Alzium.  Neither the authors nor CED Tech Health make guarantees, expressed or implied, that this information is complete, nor do we guarantee the suitability of this information for any particular purpose. This information is not intended as medical advice, and we disclaim any liability resulting from its use.  Neither the authors nor CED Tech Health advocates any specific treatment. Each reader is advised to consult qualifies professional help for medical problems. What is Alzium?         Alzium is a 100% natural herbal compound developed by researchers at CED Tech Health in Jerusalem, Israel.         Our formula consists of 11 herbs in a _base_ of water and alcohol, including cone flower, myrrh, skullcap, burdock, saffron, and cayenne.  Modern laboratory testing confirms what has been known by man throughout the millennia - the undisputable medicinal properties of the plant world. Cone flower - Echinacea One of the most widely recognized healing herbs in the world, Echinacea activates the immune system in at least 6 different ways.  In the 19th century, it was popularized by a group of American doctors as a natural antibiotic for fighting infections and inflammations, and in fact was included in the National Formulary pharmacists' reference book between 1916 and 1946.  Laboratory tests verify its ability to activate the body's defense system. Myrrh - Commiphora myrrh Myrrh is an oleo-gum resin collected from bushy shrubs in Arabia and Somalia.  It has been used for centuries as an antifungal, an immune system stimulant, for cauterizing cuts and wounds, and for binding toxins. Skullcap - Scutellaria lateriflora L. One of the leading herbs in the treatment of nervous disorders, skullcap contains scutellarin, a flavonoid with nerve-relaxing properties.  It is used by the American Indians as a tranquilizer and for menstrual disorders. Cayenne - capsicum frutescens Cayenne is used as a digestive aid, circulatory stimulant, and nerve tonic.  800 years ago, Maimonides testified to Cayenne's role in the digestive process. Increasing blood circulation, sharp pepper can relieve pain and heal illness. Why Herbal Medicine?         The importance of plants in the treatment of illness has been widely acclaimed since the dawn of mankind.  Plants through their abundance and variety have always been a source of not only nutrients but medicines.  The Ancient Egyptians documented the use of hundreds extracts of plants such as aloe and garlic.  The Chinese have practiced herbal medicine for 4000 years and are noted for their knowledge of many herbal medicants (e.g. ginseng). Western civilization embraced herbal medicine as a legacy from the Greek and Roman empires.  Until the 1940's, with the discovery of modern-day antibiotics, herbal remedies, particularly Echinacea, were widely prescribed by physicians. Echinacea is, in fact, used as an immuno-stimulant in modern-day medicine alongside conventional drug treatment. Today, plant-_base_d medicines provide for almost 70% of the world's needs.   Acting in a natural and balanced way, herbs are more gentle on the system than most synthetically-produced medicines.  In cancer drug development, plants have made major contributions, e.g. Vinca alkaloids from the periwinkle, semi-synthetic podophyllotoxins from the mandrake, and taxol from the yew tree.  Therefore, it is not at all surprising that cancer research continues to search the plant kingdom for tomorrow's anticancer drugs.   With today's in vitro cell culture methodologies and instrumentation, it is feasible to screen plant products for potential anti-cancer substances. The Alzium Story         Alzium, our exciting medical breakthrough, is a result of over 20 long years of thorough research in the field of ancient herbal remedies, including Rabbinical, Islamic, and other sources.         Bibliopharmocologist Chaim Kass, Founder and Director of CED Tech, discovered a copy of a 500-year-old manu_script_, written in a peculiar cursive form of Hebrew.  Also a scribe by profession, he eagerly began to decipher and translate the document, unaware that the text would reveal a formula for the treatment of colds, flu, and other ailments.   Realizing that he could combine those ancient herbal remedies with modern herbal research, he developed a very potent extract.         The initial formula was tested with over an 80% efficacy on 800 people against flu and viruses.  Hearing of its efficacy in fighting viral diseases, Dr. Arnold Freeman, then Chief of Hematology and Pediatrics of Children's Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Mo. tested three vials of Alzium for any cytotoxicity against model tumor cells.  After two months of intensive testing, Alzium was proven to have a substantial tumor-killing effect.         Encouraged by these results, Mr. Kass immediately flew to the United Stated, giving the green light for further laboratory testing.  Conducted by Dr. Albert Leyva, Director of the Cancer Pharmacology Lab, the preliminary test results proved to be very favorable, demonstrating that three of the extracts were most active.         In February 1995, doctors familiar with the research and aware that over 800 people had taken Alzium with no side effects, suggested it to patients looking for an alternative to traditional treatments for cancer.         Of the first 30 patients, all terminal cases, at least eight experienced remissions, two of which were complete.  Four of the patients were receiving other forms of treatment but did not see any positive responses until they began taking the Alzium. Preliminary Test Results         Eight of the plant extracts in Alzium were extensively studied for cytotoxic effects on cancer cell lines at the cancer Pharmacology Laboratory of Children's Mercy Hospital, Kansas City, MO.  The human cell lines tested included leukemia, colon, glioma, breast, ovarian, adrenal, and lung cancer.  The principle researchers were Albert Leyva, PhD., the Cancer Pharmacology Lab's Director; and Arnold I. Freeman, M.D., Chief of Hematology and Pediatrics of Children's Mercy Hospital.         Our results indicate that the plant extracts in Alzium contain cytotoxic substances which have differential effects against these specific forms of tumor cells.  Even cell lines over 100 times more resistant to conventional chemotherapy drugs than standard cell lines were considerably sensitive to Alzium.         The herbs tested against several normal human cell lines showed minimal toxicity toward normal skin fibroblasts cells.  Additionally, three extracts were effective against a multi-drug resistant cell line, indicating that the active substances are not similar in structure to several conventional drugs which are limited in use because of multi-drug resistance.         In short, the herbs demonstrated the ability to kill cancer cells while leaving healthy, normal cells intact.         The herbs were then tested against fresh tumor cells derived from individual patients with a variety of tumors.  These extracts were remarkably effective against tumor cells which were either rapidly dividing (as in cultured cells) or are slow growing (as in patients' actual tumors).  Diluted as low as one part per thousand of the herb, they were effective against these cell lines.         Overall, preliminary testing indicates that Alzium is a formula consisting of some components which do indeed kill cancer cells.         To date, no other existing alternative medicine has been tested as extensively as Alzium with such positive results.  We used the most sophisticated, state-of-the-art laboratory equipment that exists today.  Our most recent test results indicate that tumor cells had the least multi-drug resistance to Alzium of conventional forms of cancer treatment. What the Experts Say...         Our initial results were very encouraging, showing that the plant extracts from CED Tech do contain cytotoxic substances with differential effects against several human tumor cell lines.  Very encouraging are the tests with two of the plant extracts showing cytotoxic effects in eight tumor specimens obtained from patients, even when the tumor shows resistance to conventional anti-cancer drugs.                                 Al Leyva, Ph.D., Director                                 Cancer Pharmacology Lab                                 Kansas City, MO         I am familiar with Mr. Kass' research...in the field of ancient medicines.  _base_d on these ancient writings in combination with modern herbal formulas, he has developed several formulas, and I find them to have a very substantial scientific basis.  I am very impressed with the results of his treatment.                                 Warren Z. Jacobsohn, MD                                 Director of Gastroenterology                                 Shaare Zedek Medical Center                                 Jerusalem, Israel         Alzium is no secret nostrum in the usual sense of the word.  Mr. Kass' orientation is to put together a traditional formula, some of whose components work by killing cancer cells, while others support the natural defenses of the body.  I am very excited about the potential of this product.                                 Ralph W. Moss, Ph.D., Director                                 Healing Choices Consultation Service                                 Author of: Cancer Therapy, Questioning Chemotherapy; The Cancer Industry                                 Advisor to the National Institute of Health, Office of Alternative Medicine What Some of the Patients Say...         Before taking Alzium, I couldn't move, read, or write properly. After 45 days, not only did I feel stronger but I was able to return to work.  My problems with reading and writing minimized, and I generally feel much better.                                 Mordechai Bar Lev                                 Professor of Sociology                                 Bar Ilan University, Israel                                 Diagnosed with recurring glioblastoma multiforme (aggressive brain tumor)         I stopped all chemo
